The Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS) has issued 12 new Quality Control Orders (QCOs) in April 2026, adding more products to the mandatory certification list. If you import or manufacture any of these products, you must obtain BIS certification before selling in India.

- Solar Micro Inverters (CRS)
- Electric Scooter Chargers (CRS)
- Portable Power Stations (CRS)
- Wireless Charging Pads (CRS)
- USB-C Cables (CRS)
- Children's Bicycle Helmets (ISI)
- Industrial Safety Harnesses (ISI)
- Ceramic Wall Tiles Grade A (ISI)
- Stainless Steel Kitchen Sinks (ISI)
- PVC Water Storage Tanks (ISI)
- Rubber Floor Mats (ISI)
Key Deadlines
Manufacturers and importers have 6 months from the QCO notification date to obtain certification. Products sold without valid BIS certification after October 2026 will face customs seizure, marketplace delisting, and penalties up to ₹5 lakh.
